A section of the 40th BCS non-cadre qualified candidates have been staging a sit-in in front of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) office in Dhaka for not fulfilling their six-point demand.

They took a position there around 10 am today (October 30, 2022) as per their pre-announced programme declared on October 16.

They were continuing their demonstration till the filing of this report at 3:00 pm, reports our Dhaka University correspondent.

Rakibul Hasan, one of the non-cadres, told The Daily Star, “Our demonstration will continue until the demands are met. We have taken a position here on reasonable grounds. In the past, we have held some peaceful programmes to press our demands.”

They submitted their six demands to the PSC on October 16.

The 40th BCS non-cadre and 41st-44th BCS job seekers formed a human chain in front of the PSC on October 6, against its decision to divide the BCS non-cadre posts according to the date.

In continuation of this, on October 16, a protest rally and human chain programme were held in front of Raju Memorial Sculpture at Dhaka University.
