A massive fire broke out at Bangabazar market in the capital this morning.
Forty-eight units of fire service are working to control the fire.

Confirming the matter, Rafi Al Faruk, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defense control room, said the fire was reported at Bangabazar market at 6:10am.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he said, adding that no casualties have been reported so far.

The firefighters were obtaining water from the pond of nearby Shahidullah Hall at Dhaka University as the firefighters ran out of water, fire officials said around 8:50am.
