Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani to star in Good Newwz director Raj Mehta’s next?

Good Newwz was easily one of the most loved films of the last year. Released over the pre-New Year weekend, the film not only garnered positive reviews from film critics, but also set off fireworks at the box office. The social comedy, headlined by Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh, earned over Rs 200 crore in its lifetime run, which speaks volumes about the love it received. The success of the film, however, must have been most special for director Raj Mehta, who made his debut with it. Hitting a double century with your first film, after all, is no mean feat.

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Dharma Productions, the producers of Good Newwz, have once again placed their trust in Mehta. The report says that the director will helm another film for the production house and he has signed Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. The duo, the report claims, signed the dotted line at Karan Johar’s office in Bandra, Mumbai on Friday. The details of the project are not known as of now. However, it has been learnt that it is another high-concept film by the production house.

It is worth mentioning that Varun and Kiara were supposed to work on a film called Mr. Lele, to be directed by Shashank Khaitan. However, the film was eventually shelved owing to creative differences between the stakeholders.
