Paris explosion: Huge blast heard across French capital as buildings shake

Eyewitnesses reported their buildings rocking and people  from several central districts as well as in nearby suburbs reported hearing the blast.

Police say the loud bang was caused by a fighter jet breaking the sound barrier.

Footage of a French Open match between Stan Warwinka and Dominik Koepfer shows the pair pause after a loud, low bang can be heard in the background.
