IU student Tinni’s death: 12 people sued

The victim’s mother Halima begum lodged the case on Saturday morning under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act where she made her elder daughter’s husband a main accused.
Police super said, “Our drive is on to catch the accused. We have already detained four people on Friday for quizzing.”
Police said Jamirul alongwith some other people entered Tinni’s house at Sheikhpara village at about 10.00pm on Thursday and vandalized the house. After two hours, he again went to the house and tortured Tinni.
She was rushed to Kushtia Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared her dead.
Minni, elder sister of Tinni, alleged that her sister was murdered in a planned way.
Shailakupa Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police Ariful Islam said the death of Tinni is mysterious.
