Rhea Chakraborty recently submitted a complaint against her neighbour Dimple Thawani who had claimed that the actress met late actor Sushant Singh Rajput on June 13. Rhea wrote a letter to Nupur Prasad, the Superindentent of SIT and CBI, in which she stated that Dimple made “patently false and bogus allegations” against her “to mislead the investigation.”

The actress also mentioned that the conduct makes out a prime facie case punishable under Sections 203 and 211 of the Indian Penal Code.

“I say that I was interrogated for more than 5 days by the C.B.I. in connection with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. During the investigation several media channels corned false and bogus stories without any material to substantiate these patently false and fabricated claims in order to achieve their own ends,” Rhea said in her complaint.

Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde also claimed that Dimple had lied to the media for fame. Riteish Deshmukh has now come out in support of Rhea and shared an article about Rhea’s legal action against her neighbour on Twitter. He wrote, “More power to you @Tweet2Rhea – Nothing is more powerful than TRUTH.”

Rhea was in judicial custody for around 28 days. She was arrested by the NCB for charges of purchasing and consumption of psychotropic substances in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s case Although Rhea’s bail application was accepted, her brother Showik Chakraborty continues to remain in judicial custody.

Rhea was the prime suspect in the case after Sushant’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against her, her brother, her parents, Sushant’s manager Shruti Modi and Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda. Recently, according to a stunning turn of events, AIIMS forensic panel ruled out all possible murder theories in Sushant’s case and called it death by hanging.

The Central Bureau of Investigation, the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Enforcement Directorate are working towards solving the death case.
