Govt urges all not be misled by rumours

The government on Sunday urged the people not to be misled by any rumour or provocative speech and simultaneously expressed a firm vow to expose to punitive actions the rumour mongers.
“The government is determined to take stern actions against rumor mongers,” an official statement said here this evening.
The statement also urged people to immediately bring to knowledge of law enforcement agencies if they come across any information related to rumour creators.
