Excess over Bangabandhu’s statue will be resisted: Rezaul

Claiming Bangabandhu’s statue as reflection of the immortal spirit, Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim has said those who are doing excess over the Bangabandhu’s statue will be resisted by people.
“There is a clear difference between Bangabandhu’s statue and idol. This statue is the reflection of our immortal spirit. If anyone does excess with this issue, common people will resist them,” he said after inaugurating a two-day long workshop at Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute in Dhaka’s Savar upazila .
Mentioning Bangabandhu as the symbols of ideology, spirit, belief and research, the minister said, “We get inspiration, courage and hold ideology from the statue of Bangabandhu.”
He further said those who are trying to oppose, criticize and make the situation unstable, they want to create controversy over the spirit of Liberation War, existence of Bangladesh and its creation.
Dr Nathu Ram Sarker, Director General of BLRI, chaired the programme where Fisheries and Livestock Ministry secretary Dr Abdul Jabbar Sikder and additional secretary Subol Bose Moni, spoke as special guests.
