DSCC faces bar during eviction drive in Phulbaria

Traders at Phulbaria Super Markert-2 in the capital barred the team of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) while they went to demolish illegal shops there on Tuesday.
They shopkeepers took position in front of the shops around 11am and started demonstration.
At one stage, the agitators attacked on on-duty police by throwing brick chips around 1:30pm which left three injured including a journalist.

To take the situation under control, the law enforcers fired tear gas shells.

The demonstrators also vandalised vehicles on roads and chanted slogans for stopping the eviction drive.
DSCC mobile court Magistrate AH Irfan Uddin said, “We will start the drive again when the situation will normal. The situation is now beyond our control.”
A team of the DSCC and police went to the market this morning to demolish 911 shops under Block-A, B and C in the market in Gulistan area as per their pre-schedule programme.
