The first cold wave of the current winter season is likely to sweep across different parts of the country from December 17 to 18.

“The cold wave is likely to sweep over the country’s northern region on December 17 and 18 and later sweep across the country,” Omar Faruk, a meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), said on Friday.

“Temperature may drop below 10 degrees Celsius during the cold wave,” he said.

Omar Faruk said the current foggy weather could last two more days.
