A few days ago, Kamal Haasan announced in the finale episode of Bigg Boss Tamil 4 that he was taking a break from work due to medical reasons. He shared that had to undergo pending leg surgery. Taking to social media, Shruti Haasan shared a health update on the Tamil superstar. In the caption, she wrote, “On behalf of @ikamalhaasan , here’s an update !! Thankyou for all the *love*”

Shruti released a statement, along with sister Akshara Haasan, and explained that the actor’s leg surgery was successful and that he is doing well. She wrote, “We would like to begin by thanking you for your overwhelming support prayers and genuine concern regarding our father’s recent medical procedure. We are happy to inform all of you that the surgery was a success! The surgery was performed on his leg this morning at Sri Ramachandra Hospital, performed by medical orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Mohan Kumar along with Dr. J.S.N Murthy. The doctors, attendees and the hospital management are taking wonderful care of our father and he is doing well, is in good spirits and working toward a speedy recovery.”

She added that the Indian actor will get back home after four or five days and will rest before he will interact with people. “He will return home in four to five days. After a few days of rest and recuperating from the surgery, he shall be ready to interact with people as always,” the statement read.

In conclusion, Shruti thanked all fans and well-wishers who sent their prayers for the Kamal Haasan’s well-being. “A heartfelt thank you from us for all your prayers for his well-being and immense love showered on him. We are grateful that your good energy will be a big part of his speedy recovery,” the note read.
