They say when you love someone, your eyes sparkle when you talk about them. While we may not have experienced it ourselves, we surely have seen some cute celebrity couples getting butterflies in their stomach and totally blushing when asked about their loved ones. Be it lauding their achievements or simply retelling their love story, again and again, celebs and their response when asked about their other halves is total goals.

There are many power celebrity couples who inspire us to love, laugh, and live, but our favourite has to be new parents, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. While Virat leads the Indian cricket team and leaves everyone impressed with his skills, wife Anushka is a phenomenal actress and a producer. Together, Anushka and Virat are THE celebrity couple. They recently welcomed their first child on January 11, 2021, and it is a girl. Though we have not yet seen the baby girl, we bet she is the cutest ever.

While the new parents start their new phase in life and start parenthood, we look back at all the times hubby Virat was vocal, romantic and a total mushball at his interview. No, Virat’s interviews are not totally just about cricket. From interviews to Instagram live, Virat has many-a-times spoken about wife Anushhka and how she changed her life. The captain has always been vocal about his feelings and never failed to publicly accept then-girlfriend and now wife Anushka. His flying kisses post scoring a milestone always made it to the news, with people appreciating their PDA.

Every time Virat spoke about Anushka

Lockdown stories

Virat Kohli is the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore and in an interview RCB Bold Diaries, the sports team’s official YouTube page, he had revealed how he spent time with Anushka during the lockdown. “The best thing [about the lockdown] was Anushka and myself were at home. We never got so much time to spend together since we started seeing each other, to be honest. Just being in your own home with the one you love, you couldn’t ask for anything better. We just made the most of that whole time,” the cricketer said.”

‘Lady luck’

Trust Virat to make you swoon and he will never fail to impress you. In Gaurav Kapoor’s chat show, Breakfast with Champions, Virat had spoken up about how lady luck had been the wonder in his life.

“Sir lady luck ka kamaal hai (I’ve got to thank the lady luck). You’ve (Gaurav) seen me, you know I had no brains before. Ever since the lady has come into my life, she’s taught me a lot of things.”

Always there for each other

Virat has always been thankful to Anushka for always being there for him, even on the worst days. “I was in Mohali and there was a Test series going on. I was with Anushka then, she had come to visit me. Surprisingly, when I became the Test captain then also she was in Melbourne with me. That was a very special moment we shared together.”

Standing up for her always

Many-a-times netizens had blamed Anushka, back when she was his girlfriend, for ‘distracting’ him during the matches. Many even touted her as the reason for India’s loss. And, as usual, Virat had the aptest reply for all trolls. He had once said in an interview, “We were being criticised and people were saying this is what happens when you allow girlfriends on the tour. I thought, “if you don’t think this is right then no one can be in a relationship”. According to you all – either get married or remain single. How can that be?”

When he appreciated her work

Virat has always been vocal about Anushka and has given her the credit for his success and changes in life. He also supports wife Anushka in each and every venture she undertakes. He had once called her fearless and appreciated her art.

“Anushka is brilliant at what she does, at her craft, she’s outstanding. She understands exactly what I’m saying without even me talking, with my body language she can understand what I’m going through on the field. That is the level of connect that happens when two people are on the same wavelength,”
