No legal bar in repealing Zia’s gallantry title: Law Minister

Law Minister Anisul Huq on Wednesday said that there is no legal bar in repealing of the freedom fighter title of BNP founder and former president Ziaur Rahman.
“If someone is a freedom fighter, it is normal to have the title. However, if they tarnished the spirit of the Liberation War of Bangladesh by using the title — he does not have the right to get the title,” he said after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.
“I left this question to the countrymen,” he added.
Anisul Huq said, “If we take the vaccine, we will get some protection from the epidemic. So, I urge the countrymen to take this vaccine.”
He added that he was afraid of taking the injection, but did not feel any pain.
