DSCC mayor Taposh, wife receive Covid vaccine

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh and his wife received Covid-19 vaccine on Sunday.

Taposh’s wife Afrin Taposh first received the vaccine at the Mahanagar General Hospital at Nayabazar in the capital in the morning. Then the DSCC mayor got vaccinated.

Later, the DSCC mayor told reporters that he and his wife took the vaccine. “By the grace of Allah, we didn’t feel any pain. We were injected the vaccine while we were talking. There was no difficulty at all,” he said.

At that time, Taposh urged upon all to complete the registration process and to take the Covid-19 vaccine. “I have requested all before and I would call everyone again to register for and receive this vaccine without fear. By taking this vaccine we would be able to free ourselves from coronavirus,” he said.

ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, chief executive officer of the DSCC and his wife Kazi Umme Salma were later got vaccinated.

Director of Mahanagar General Hospital Dr Prakash Chandra Roy, DSCC Secretary Akramuzzaman, concerned ward councilor, regional executive officers and other senior officials were present at the occasion.
