Cumilla AL man ‘abducted’ in Lalmatia

Parvez Hossain Sarker, a member of Cumilla district unit of the Awami League, has allegedly been abducted from Dhaka’s Lalmatia area on Friday afternoon.
Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jamal Uddin Mir has confirmed the news.
The OC said: “Some alleged unidentified abductors dragged Parvez into a car when he was returning home after offering Juma prayers at a local mosque on Friday afternoon.”
“The abductors are yet to be identified but we are investigating into the incident,” the OC further said.
Parvez Hossain Sarker was a former Upazila Parishad chairman of Comilla’s Titas upazila.
