Anti-Corruption Commission’s (ACC) outgoing Chairman Iqbal Mahmud thinks the anti-graft body could sent a message that ‘none is above the law.’
“It is an old saying that the ACC is a tooth-less organisation. ACC is enough powerful now. Many things can be done under the existing law,” said Mahmud at a farewell press conference held at his office on Monday.
Evaluating his five-year working experience in the ACC, he said, “My effort was to bring the organisation to a good position. But I’m not satisfied.”

Mahmud requested common people, civil society members and anti-graft organisations to evaluate his success and failure.

The tenure of the current ACC chairman, Iqbal Mahood, ends tomorrow (Tuesday). He will be replaced by Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah.
