Alia Bhatt tests negative for COVID-19 while her beau Ranbir Kapoor opts for home quarantine – Report

Earlier today, Ranbir Kapoor’s mom and veteran actress Neetu Kapoor confirmed that her son has contracted COVID-19 and is currently under home quarantine. Soon, reports of Sanjay Leela Bansali testing positive for coronavirus surfaced online. Now, the latest reports are suggesting that Alia Bhatt, who was playing the lead role in Gangubai Kathiawadi, has tested negative for the deadly virus.

As the B-town lovebirds, Alia and Ranbir were sharing screen space in Brahmastra and were mostly hanging out together, Alia decided to take the COVID-19 test as a precautionary measure. Alia is also working closely with Sanjay Leela Bansali, who has reportedly tested positive too.

A source told a publication that Alia is taking COVID-19 tests regularly and is isolating herself to avoid spreading the disease to her friends, colleagues or family members.

While speaking to ETimes, a source said, “Alia takes the test nearly every day and today also she has tested negative but has still isolated herself. Ranbir Kapoor caught the virus on the sets of ‘Brahmastra’ and is recovering currently.”

The actress is yet to make an official confirmation, regarding the same.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Alia shared a thoughtful message which instantly grabbed everyone’s attention. The post read, “We grow through what we go through.” Check it out below.

Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor shared a post on social media to reveal that her son has tested positive for coronavirus. She wrote, “Thank you for your concern and your good wishes. Ranbir has tested positive for Covid-19. He is on medication and recovering well. He is in self-quarantine at home and following all precautions. (sic)”

Coming to the work front, Alia is all set to spread magic on the silver screen with her upcoming film. She will feature next in Gangubai Kathiawadi, Brahmāstra and RRR.
