PM ordered quick implementation of students’ demands: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered the authorities concerned of implementing the nine-point demand placed by the students.

The minister came up with the disclosure in a press conference on Thursday evening, hours after some students received injuries in an attack launched by the police and unidentified youths.

The home minister asked the students to return to their classrooms leaving streets. He also drew the attention of the guardians for not to allow the students to go outside.

Requesting the students to go back home,  Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said: “No action will be taken against the agitating students after the protest ends.”

“No fitless vehicle will ply on the streets and all the demands of the students will be met gradually,” home minister added.

Talking to the journalists he also alleged that the activists of BNP’s student body Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Jamaat’s student wing Chhatra Shibir also took part in the protest and instigated the students.
