Strict lockdown from Apr 14, only emergency services exempted

As the country is facing an upsurge in virus cases, the government has imposed nationwide strict lockdown from April 14 to contain the spread of Covid-19 transmission,

 

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain informed on Friday.
“All government and private offices, industries and transport services will remain suspended during the period,” said the State Minister, adding, “Only the emergency services will remain out of the purview of the  shutdown.”
He also informed that a gazette notification in this regard will be issued by Sunday.
The announcement cam hours after Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader had said that the government is contemplating to impose a complete lockdown across the country for a week from April 14
