Corona patient ‘takes onw life’ jumping off Mugda Hospital

A COVID patient reportedly ‘committed suicide’ by jumping off from Mugda Medical College Hospital building in the capital on Friday night.
Deceased Asif Iqbal, 50, was a resident of capital’s Eskaton area. He was unmarried and most of his relatives live in the United States.
Iqbal had been undergoing treatment at the hospital from April 9.
Police also found a suicide note beside the body.
Mugda Police station OC Pralay Kumar Saha said, “We recovered a suicide note beside the body. He might have committed suicide. After investigation, it will be more cleared.”
In the suicide note Asif Iqbal urged to bury him following Islamic Sharia rules. He also mentioned that he had been suffering from loneliness which forced him to commit suicide.
