No more ‘strict lockdown’ after April 28

There will be no more strict lockdown after Wednesday (April 28) in the country including the capital Dhaka, said State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain on Friday.
Talking to reporters on Friday afternoon, he said the restrictions would be relaxed after April 28. But ‘No Mask No Service’ will be implemented one hundred per cent.
“People will wear masks and maintain physical distance. Strict adherence to health guidelines will enable us to make a living. We hope the infection will be reduced a lot in a few days,” he said.
He said, “Law enforcement agencies will ensure that everyone visit markets wearing masks.”
Farhad Hossain added that the issue of resuming public transport services is in now at the decision stage. Even if the public transport services are resume, everyone will have to follow 100% hygiene rules.
The state minister also hinted that the details about resuming public transport services might be announced on April 28.
The state minister said a notification would be issued on April 26 with guidelines. It also will also explain the presence of manpower in offices.
Earlier, the government announced a lockdown from April 4 to April 11 to curb coronavirus infection. An eight-day strict lockdown was announced on April 14 to April 21 with 13 instructions. Later, it was extended till midnight on April 28 as the corona infection situation did not improve.
