Priyanka Chopra in Dostana 2!

Though Priyanka Chopra had announced that she wouldn’t be a part of the sequel to Dostana, rumour has it that she is likely to star in it after all.

Sources say that Katrina Kaif, who was supposed to do the film along with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, is no longer able to take the project up, and so the original Desi Girl may be asked to reprise her role.

“Dostana 2 was announced 10 years ago, and Katrina was roped in at that time. Now that the film is actually being made, Katrina’s dates are no longer available, because she has committed them to Salman Khan’s Bharat. So now the project has gone back to Priyanka,” a source says.

Ironically, Katrina’s been roped in to do Bharat after Priyanka’s departure from the film. So this swap has a ring of poetic justice to it.
