Raj Kundra porn film case: Businessman avoided arrest by bribing officers

Shilpa Shetty’s husband and former Rajasthan Royals owner Raj Kundra was arrested earlier this week. He has been accused of creating and publishing pornographic films through an OTT app “Hotspots”. The case was filed back in February and 5 people were arrested at that time for forcing aspiring models to shoot for adult films.

As per the latest update on the case, Raj avoided his arrest by bribing Crime Branch officers. He reportedly offered the officers bribes of Rs 25 lakh. According to a Times Now report, an “absconding accused” in the said case alleged that Raj was avoiding his arrest by indulging in such corrupt practices. As of yet, the city officers have not commented or released a statement on this matter.

Raj Kundra’s arrest came after a UK-based production house and its executive Umesh Kamat came under the police scanner for being involved in putting out pornographic content. According to the police, Raj is connected to Kamat and his company and thus under investigation.
