Strict lockdown: 587 held on 3rd day for defying rules in Dhaka

Police have arrested 587 people for defying Covid-19 restrictions and health guidelines in Dhaka on the third day of the two week-long “strict lockdown” today (Sunday).

Iftekhairul Islam, additional deputy commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the information to media.

He said mobile courts fined 233 people Tk 1,00,950 today while DMP’s traffic division fined 521 vehicles Tk 12,72,000.
