40-day remand for Piasa’s associates Mishu, Jishan sought

Police have pleaded to place arrested Sharful Hasan alias Mishu Hasan and his associate Masudul Islam alias Jishan on a 40-day remand for questioning in four cases.

They were produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court in Dhaka by Bhatara police on Thursday.

Both Mishu and Jishan were arrested by RAB from Basundhara Residential Area in Dhaka on Tuesday night. RAB got information about them after arresting so-called models Faria Mahbub Piasha and Mariam Akter Mou. RAB seized drugs, arms, Indian forged currency notes and costlier car from their possession,

The charges brought against them were that they used to hold parties with the so-called models at different posh areas in the capital. They used to arrange pleasure trips abroad with the girls. Children of rich people used to take part in these parties and travels. Parties were used to be organised abroad with these models. Clicking the objectionable photographs secretly at the parties, they used to earn money blackmailing the rich people.

Following their arrest on Tuesday night, the RAB filed four cases against them under the Special Powers Act, Liquor and Narcotics Control Act, Arms Control Act and Pornography Control Act.
