Khaleda Zia’s condition stable: Fakhrul

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s physical condition is now stable, said the party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Addressing a press conference at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan political office on Saturday, he said, “BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s physical condition is now stable. Her physical condition has not deteriorated. Nothing bad has happened to her. She has received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, and will receive the second dose soon.”

Begum Khaleda Zia is scheduled to receive the second dose of Covid vaccine on August 19. She received the first dose of Moderna vaccine of the United States at Sheikh Russel Gastroliver Institute and Hospital on July 19 last.

The BNP Chairperson got infected with coronavirus at her Gulshan residence “Firoza” on April 10 last where she underwent treatment at the supervision of specialist physicians. She got admitted to Evercare Hospital at Basundhara in the capital on April 27 for the treatment of post-Covid complications. After long 54 days of treatment, she returned to her Gulshan residence on June 19.
