Marvel’s Eternals slated to be release in India

Marvel Studios has announced Eternals as their new superhero film release for Diwali 2021. Eternals is an upcoming superhero film from the studio that is intended to be the 26th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film follows Eternals, an immortal alien race, who emerge from hiding after thousands of years to protect Earth from their evil counterparts, the Deviants.

Directed by Academy Award Winner Chloe Zhao, Eternals stars an ensemble cast including Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie.

Bollywood film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarh took to Twitter to share the news, writing, “#MARVEL ANNOUNCES DIWALI FOR NEW SUPERHERO FILM… The new team of superheroes in #MarvelCinematicUniverse… #Eternals – starring #AngelinaJolie and #SalmaHayek – to release in #Indian *cinemas* on 5 Nov 2021 #Diwali in #English, #Hindi, #Tamil, #Telugu, #Kannada and #Malayalam”

While Richard Madden will be seen as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi and Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Salma Hayek will be seen as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, while Angelina Jolie will play the fierce warrior Thena and Kit Harington will essay the role of Dane Whitman.

Meanwhile, a recent report by Screenrant revealed what convinced Angelina Jolie to say yes to Eternals. The Maleficent star said that while she was not concerned with the length of her character, it was an opportunity to be a member of a decidedly diverse family that motivated her to take up the role.
