Female journalist hacked dead in Pabna

A female journalist was hacked to death by a group of unidentified assailants in front of her home in Radhanagar Majumdarparha area of the town last night.
The deceased was identified as Suborna Akhter Nodi, 25.
She worked for private channel Ananda TV as Pabna district correspondent. Nodi was also the publisher and editor of the Daily Jagroto Bangla.
Confirming the information, Pabna Additional Police Superintendent Goutam Kumar Biswas said: “Two unidentified miscreants swooped on Nodi as she opened the door of her house after getting knock around 10pm. The assailants hacked her indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving her critically injured.”
“Later, locals took her to Pabna General Hospital where the duty doctor declared her dead,” he added.
