Aryan appears before NCB in Mumbai as per bail condition

Aryan Khan appeared before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday for the first time after he was granted bail by the Bombay High Court last week in the Mumbai cruise drugs case, reports India Today.

Weekly appearance before the NCB was one of the conditions set by the Bombay High Court while granting bail to the 23-year-old.

Aryan Khan left for the NCB office in South Mumbai with his lawyer Nikhil Maneshinde in a white Range Rover car.

Aryan Khan was released from Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail on October 30 after spending 22 days there following his arrest in the case.

The Bombay High Court imposed 14 bail conditions on Aryan Khan and his co-accused in the case, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, who were also granted bail.

The High Court said Aryan Khan will have to surrender his passport before the NDPS court and shall not leave India without taking permission from the special court and will have to attend the NCB office each Friday between 11 am and 2 pm to mark his presence.

Aryan Khan, Merchant and Dhamecha were arrested by the NCB on October 3 and booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act for possession, consumption, sale/purchase of banned drugs and conspiracy and abetment.

Their arrest came a day after the NCB led by its zonal director Sameer Wankhede raided the cruise ship and claimed to have seized banned drugs. So far, 20 people have been arrested in the case.
