SAAF Championship: Bangladesh through semifinal beating Pakistan 1-0

Bangladesh football team are through to semifinal with 6 points after a 1-0 goal victory against Pakistan in the SAFF Suzuki Cup 2018, kicked-off at 7pm at Bangabandhu National Stadium today.

Tapu Barman, with a head, once again scored the victorious goal for Bangladesh side in the 85th minute of the match.

Earlier on Tuesday, Bangladesh football team started their South Asian Football Federation Championship (SAAF) mission with a comfortable 2-0 win against Bhutan.

The 12th version of the seven-nation SAFF Suzuki Cup 2018 unveiled with the match between Pakistan and Nepal on Tuesday at Bangabandhu National Stadium, where Pakistan got a  2-1 goals victory against Nepal.

Moreover, Nepal keep their semifinal hope alive from Group A, thrashing Bhutan by 4-0 goals in their 2nd group match held at Bangabandhu National Stadium today.

Hosts Bangladesh was placed in Group A of the biggest soccer festival of the region (SAFF Championship) with Bhutan, Nepal and Pakistan while holders India, the Maldives and Sri Lanka were placed in Group B of the seven-nation meet.
