Bangladesh will administer 4 crore Covid doses every month from January, said Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Wednesday.
The minister said, “For this, we are taking the initiative to give vaccines in every ward of the country starting next month. Hopefully, we will be able to meet our targets by next May-June.”

The minister said this at the annual general meeting of BDCL at Dhaka Club in the capital.

He said, a total of 28 crore of covid vaccine doses, including booster doses, will be needed to meet the target. The government has made the arrangement of procuring 31 doses of vaccine.

“So even if we need 28 crore doses of vaccine to meet our target including booster dose, we will have three crore more doses of vaccine in stock,” he added.

Of this, a total of 12 crore doses vaccine has been administered, including seven crore as first dose and five crore as second dose.

Maleque further said that Bangladesh has been praised by the world for tackling covid pandemic.
