Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Sunday urged the BNP to make comments in the language of peace without making shouts otherwise the AL along with the people will give them a befitting reply.

“Awami League doesn’t fear BNP’s shouting. BNP should talk in peaceful tone. Otherwise, the Awami League along with the people will give a befitting reply to them,” he said.

Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, was virtually addressing the triennial conference of the party’s Natore district unit, BSS reports.

Mentioning that BNP is hatching conspiracy targeting the next general election, he said there is no example of visible development activities of BNP.

So the people again make the AL victorious in huge margin in the next general election facing all sorts of conspiracy of BNP, he hoped.

Turning to clashes centering the Natore district unit council of the party, the AL general secretary asked the central leaders who were present at the venue to find out those who were involved with the clash to punish them.

“If you make internal wrangling ahead of next general elections, the government’s all developments and progress will get faded,” he said pointing to those AL workers who were involved with the clash.

He said the party is making a list of those who are involved with different wrongdoings and those tarnished the party’s image in the union parishad polls.

Stern organizational actions will be taken against those who will be found involved in wrongdoings, he said.

Noting that BNP is now in trouble after failing both in movement and elections, he said if Awami League remains united, BNP’s all shouting will go in vain.

Quader urged the party leaders and workers to evaluate those party workers, who have sacrifices for the party in its crying need, in forming new committees.
