Samantha Ruth Prabhu say no to body doubles for action scenes in Yashoda

South Indian diva Samantha Ruth Prabhu is making the headlines with back-to-back films. The Oh Baby actress is currently working on various projects including her science fiction thriller drama film Yashoda.

Samantha is leaving no stone unturned to make this movie special as it is the first Pan- Indian film in her career. The Majili actress even said no to body doubles for action scenes in Yashoda.

Yes…you heard it right. This was shared by none other than Yashoda’s directorial duo Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan in a recent interview with Pinkvilla.

Revealing interesting details about the action scenes in Yashoda, the duo stated – ‘The major action portion of the film has been shot on sets. For the fight sequences, Sam wanted to be there for rehearsals that went for 2 or 3 days… she wanted to do all the scenes herself. She absolutely said no to body doubles and even in a few scenes where the rope is required for safety, she did it on her own. She was totally enjoying it.’

As we know Sam is always up for experimental roles and taking risks in her films. But after hearing this, fans are even more excited to see the actress’s intense action sequences on the big screens.

Helmed by Hari-Harish and bankrolled by Sridevi Movies, Yashoda stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Unni Mukundan, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles while Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru and others will be seen in the supporting roles.

Tollywood’s known music composer Mani Sharma is working on the film’s score with cinematography and editing performed by M Sukumar and Marthand K Venkatesh respectively.
