BNP pays tributes to former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has paid tribute to former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe who was shot dead during an election campaign in Japan recently.

BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and organising secretary Shyama Obaid paid tributes on behalf of the party at the Embassy of Japan on the Dutabash Road at Baridhara in Dhaka on Wednesday (July 13) afternoon.

Signing the condolence book at the Japanese Embassy, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said late Shinzo Abe was a close friend of Bangladesh and contributed a lot to the development of Bangladesh-Japan relations. He did a lot of work, especially with BNP Chairperson and former premier Begum Khaleda Zia.
