Dengue fever: 7 deaths, 983 hospitalised in 24hrs

At least seven dengue patients died while 983 others were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till this (November 1, 2022) morning.

With the new cases, the total number of dengue patients in the country rose to 39,007, including 12,459 from outside Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new deaths, the total number of deaths from dengue rose to 148, including 89 in Dhaka alone while 23 in Cox’s Bazar, 15 in Chattogram, six in Barishal, four each in Mymensingh and Khulna, two in Narail, and one each in Narsingdi, Pabna, Narail, Bogura, Madaripur and Feni districts.

A total of 35,261 patients have already been released following recovery, including 11,124 from outside of Dhaka.

Some 3,598 dengue patients, including 1,276 from outside Dhaka, are still undergoing treatment at hospitals.
