Two lanes of Tongi flyover open to traffic

Two lanes of Tongi flyover, which is being constructed under Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Line-3 project, opened to traffic today.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader opened the lanes at a programme over the flyover near Tongi Bridge.

The minister hoped that public sufferings will be reduced to some extent following the opening of the two lanes.

The minister said they expected to inaugurate the total  BRT Line 3 in the first week of June next year.
