11th national polls rescheduled: Voting now Dec 30

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda said that the 11th parliamentary elections have been rescheduled and now it will be held on December 30.

“The Election Commission has also extended the nomination submission deadline to November 28,” he added.

The CEC made the disclosure while talking with reporters at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital this afternoon.

Earlier on November 8, the chief Election Commissioner has announced the national election schedule for the country’s 11th parliamentary election.

According to the polls schedule, the national election was set to hold on December 23 this year.

The CEC in his nationwide televised speech also said: “The aspirants will have to submit their nomination papers by November 19 while the nomination papers will be scrutinized on November 22.”

The deadline to withdraw the nomination forms was on November 29.
