Bollywood celebrities grieve earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria

The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey on Monday (February 6) has left the rest of the world in shock. The natural disaster took many thousands of lives in its wake.
Saddened by the horrific event, celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Shilpa Shetty, and Rajkummar Rao, among others, took to their Instagram accounts to express their sadness.
On her Instagram story, Alia Bhatt wrote, “This is heartbreaking.”
Priyanka Chopra’s post only contained one word, “Devastating”, along with an image of the earthquake’s impact.
Following suit, Shilpa Shetty also joined in and wrote on her Instagram account, “We are sending our prayers to everyone whose lives have been impacted by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. May all the departed souls rest in peace.”
Rajkummar Rao also wrote, “Turkey and Syria. We will keep you in our prayers.”
By current estimates, the earthquake has claimed over 9,500 lives. It was amongst the biggest earthquakes to hit the two nations in their history.
