Bangladesh seal the 3-match ODI series 2-1

Bangladesh won the ODI series 2-1 beating West Indies by 8 wickets in the final ODI of three-match series at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Tigers chased down the 199-run target in 38.3 overs with 8 wickets in hand scoring 202 runs with dashing Tamim’s last moment blasts.

Opener Tamim Iqbal was unbeaten at 81 runs while Soumya Sarkar played an 80-run innings in 81 balls.

Earlier, West Indies scored 198 runs in 50 overs. Opener Shai Hope was unbeaten at 108, scoring back to back centuries.

For Bangladesh, offspinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up four wickets for 29 runs. Mashrafe Mortaza and Shakib Al Hasan captured two wickets each.

In the second ODI at Mirpur, Shai Hope’s stunning century helped the visitors secure their first win of the tour and level the three-match ODI series at 1-1.

Bangladesh beat the visitors by 5 wickets in the first ODI.
