Tragedy has struck the wrestling world as former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt, whose real name is Windham Rotunda, has passed away at the young age of 36.

WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, confirmed the untimely passing of Rotunda in a heartfelt statement.

He shared, “Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda, who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life, Windham Rotunda – also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed earlier today.” Triple H further expressed his condolences to the family and requested privacy for them during this difficult time.

Bray Wyatt, a prominent figure in modern professional wrestling, held the WWE Champion title once and the WWE Universal Champion title twice during his career.

His prominence grew while he led the Wyatt Family faction, which included wrestlers like Erick Rowan, the late Luke Harper (also known as Brodie Lee), and Braun Strowman. Notable rivalries with CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Roman Reigns solidified Wyatt’s status as a top-tier wrestler.
