BTS’ Suga attained a new landmark on the largest music streaming platform, Spotify, recently. His solo song “The Last” crossed over 100 million streams to also become his ninth song that exceeded this mark.

He is now tied with EXO and (G)I-DLE as the fifth Korean acts to each have over 100 million streams with at least, nine of their respective songs.

“The Last” from Suga’s first mixtape ‘Agust D’ hit the 100 million streams mark on October 6, 2021. This song followed “Daechwita”, “Interlude: Shadow”, “Burn It”, “People”, “Strange”, “What Do You Think?”, “So Far Away” and “August D” and became his ninth song to outperform the mark.

The other Korean acts with over nine songs topping the 100 million streams mark on Spotify are: BTS (with 61 songs), BLΛƆKPIИK (with 24 songs), IU (with 15 songs), and TWICE (with 10 songs).

Suga is more famously known as the rapper who is involved in writing, composing, and producing most songs for BTS and himself. He debuted in 2013 as one of the seven members of BTS. He released his initial solo mixtape “Agust D” in 2016. His second solo mixtape ‘D-2’ was released in 2020, which then reached its highest at number 11 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

The BTS member’s accomplishment on Spotify is an indication of his thriving talent as a solo artiste too. He has spoken persistently about his hope to influence people positively with his songs by also sharing his story through them.
