Brief fire incident at Shahjalal International Airport

A fire broke out at a store room of wastage in Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport’s Parking-2 area on Monday morning filling the area with smoke.

The smoke became visible around 8:00 am. Two units from Fire Service were brought to the spot in response.

Firefighters reached the spot around 8:15 am and tamed the fire within 15 minutes.
Although the intensity of the fire was very low, some were paniced due to smoke, sources said.

Duty officer Lima Khanom of Fire Service Control Room confirming the matter said the cause of the fire could not be identified immediately.

No casualty was reported in the fire incident.
