Amid rumours of an alleged affair between Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur, as well as speculation about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dropping the Bachchan surname, fans of the beloved Bollywood couple can breathe a sigh of relief. The couple were recently spotted at a party together, taking selfies and dismissing rumours of a rift in their relationship.

Entrepreneur Anu Ranjan and actor Ayesha Jhulka shared photos of Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan on their respective Instagram accounts.

Anu shared a photo where Aishwarya was seen taking a selfie with her mother, Brindya Rai, standing behind her. Anu held Brindya’s hand, while Abhishek stood in the background. Everyone smiled for the camera. For the occasion, Aishwarya and Abhishek coordinated in black outfits, with Aishwarya wearing a salwar suit and Abhishek looked dapper in bandhgala suit.

The party was attended by notable personalities, including Tusshar Kapoor and Sachin Tendulkar.

Speculation about tensions between Aishwarya Rai and the Bachchan family surfaced in July 2024 during Anant Ambani’s wedding. The rumors began when Aishwarya and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan arrived at the event separately, while the rest of the Bachchan family — Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, Agastya Nanda, and Navya Naveli Nanda — attended together.

Speculation intensified when neither Abhishek nor his family publicly wished Aishwarya on her birthday earlier this month. Aishwarya and Abhishek, who married in 2007, share a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, born on November 16, 2011.
