Tragedy strikes Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ event: Two fans die
Just a month after the tragic stampede death of a woman at a special screening of Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2: The Rule”, another similar tragedy unfolded during the promotion of South-Indian actor Ram Charan’s upcoming film “Game Changer”. Two of the actor’s fans lost their lives in a tragic accident after attending the promotional event.
The incident occurred after the two fans, Arava Manikanta and Thokada Charan from Gaigolupadu in Kakinada, left the promotional event in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, on Saturday night. As they were returning home, their motorcycle was hit by a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. They were rushed to a nearby hospital but were declared dead by doctors on arrival.
This tragedy closely mirrors the previous incident from December 4 last year, when a woman was trampled to death at a special screening of “Pushpa 2: The Rule”. Her eight-year-old son was also severely injured in the stampede. The film’s star, Allu Arjun, was present at the Hyderabad theatre when the tragic event occurred, and the woman’s family has since demanded compensation and medical care for the injured child.
Following the deaths of the two fans after “Game Changer’s” promotional event, producer Dil Raju announced a financial aid package of Tk 10 lakh for the families of the deceased. “It’s deeply saddening that such a joyous occasion has turned into one of mourning. I will do everything possible to support their families. As a first step, I’m giving each family Tk 5 lakh,” said Raju in a statement to the media on Monday. He extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families.
This marks a tragic turn of events given that “Game Changer” is set to release on January 10.
