Nation welcomes 2020 with new hope

The nation has welcomed the new year 2020 with new hopes through different programmes.
Jubilant people, particularly the youngsters, joined different New Year programmes when the clock strikes 12 midnight.
On the eve of the new year, people conveyed their best wishes to their friends and beloved ones through greeting cards and using different messaging applications and social media platforms.
Corporate and government officials and various organisations also did the same things as they do every year.
In separate messages, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted the countrymen on the eve of New Year 2020.
