Chinese woman hospitalised in Rangpur with fever

A female Chinese national has been admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) with fever amid Coronavirus fears.

Zing Zong, 29, an employee of a Chinese company at Uttara Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Nilphamari, was admitted to the hospital on Sunday afternoon with fever and breathing complications.

Confirming the news, RMCH Assistant Director Dr Rustam Ali said: “Zing fell sick on Saturday and was rushed to the hospital today. She has been kept at the Corona unit of Isolation Ward of the hospital.”

“We’ve already informed the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), they’ll take necessary step in this regard,” he added.
