Now Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg’ in animated series
GBNEWS24 DESK//
An OTT platform had launched the animated series of Baahubali few years back to entertain the viewers and give a new touch to the story. Now a leading daily confirms the news that Salman Khan’s family entertainer, Dabangg, will be turned into an animation series for an OTT platform. The series will have two seasons with 52 episodes spanning 30 minutes each. It will chronicle the capers of supercop Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan), and will also feature the animated avatars of other characters like Chhedi Singh (Sonu Sood), Rajjo (Sonakshi Sinha) and Prajapatiji (the late Vinod Khanna).
Speaking more about this project, producer of the first Dabangg in 2010, Arbaaz Khan, said, “The medium offers unparalleled creative freedom with storytelling, and we can focus on shorter standalone stories in lieu of longer, linear narratives. Chulbul”s persona is larger than life and in animation his adventures will be showcased as never seen before.” The series will be produced by Animation studio Cosmos-Maya. “We are very happy to be working with Cosmos-Maya on this glorious franchise, which has won the heart of millions. The union has been organic in the sense that the franchise and the studio have both captured the pulse of the Indian masses with entertaining grassroots level storytelling and relatable narratives,” said Arbaaz.
Dabangg 3 released last year. Bhai’s fans can now enjoy the Robinhood cop in an animated avatar.
