The sets of Ajay Devgn’s film caught fire ahead of the muhurat shot. The event presumably took place on Tuesday, February 2 in Bangdi film studio in Goregaon West, Mumbai. As per sources, the fire broke out due to a short circuit on the sets. However, details are awaited on the same.

Fire tenders have rushed to the spot. According to the local residents, the studio, which was built for the muhurat shot, was an ‘illegal structure’ as the establishment had not obtained any fire safety clearance.

A video has surfaced online as the fire brigade arrived on the site and features firemen putting out the flames. The studio reportedly caught fire due to a short circuit in the establishment, but the final word on the cause of the incident is awaited. Fire fighting is on.

According to sources, 8 fire tenders reached the spot. The fire is a level- 2 fire. No injuries have been reports so far. Mumbai Fire Brigade revealed to ANI that the blaze first erupted around 4:25 pm at the studio, which has been set up on an open plot. The structure was being readied for the muhurat shot that was supposed to take place on Tuesday evening. The shot has been halted for now. Over 100 people are speculated to be at the venue but no injuries reported so far.

Earlier reports stated that the Ajay Devgn will begin shooting for Maidaan at the start of 2021. However, it is not confirmed for which film the actor is shooting.
