Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali unveiled the trailer of his highly anticipated film Gangubai Kathiawadi on Friday (February 4). Alia Bhatt, who will be seen playing the titular role in the biographical crime drama, has managed to received positive reviews for her performance after the release of the film’s trailer. Several tinsel town celebs including Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone and Janhvi Kapoor showered the Gully Boy star with praises on social media.

Alia Bhatt’s boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor also extended support to his ladylove by giving a cute nod to her. When asked to share his reaction on the trailer of Gangubai Kathiawadi, the Sanju actor posed like Alia’s character in the film. The Kapoor lad, who was spotted in Mumbai by the paparazzi on Friday, recreated Gangubai’s signature namaste pose.

Ranbir and Alia will be seen together for the first time on the big screen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The much-awaited film co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy is slated to arrive in the cinema halls on September 9, 2022.
