Anurag Basu comes onboard to develop script for Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor

Ever since Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor’s collaboration in Rajkumar Hirani’s 2014 film PK, fans have been waiting to see the Bollywood stars together again. While Ranbir just had a cameo in the hit flick, it was their camaraderie that had left fans wanting for more. And reports about their upcoming film had only left them even more excited.

While the buzz around Aamir and Ranbir’s project has been around for a while now, some more details about the untitled film have now surfaced online.

If a report is anything to go by, Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist will be teaming up with Ranbir Kapoor for an Anurag Basu directorial. The filmmaker, who has previously worked with Ranbir in Barfi and Jagga Jasoos, has come on board to develop a two hero script for the film, which is reportedly going to be “one of India’s biggest cinematic spectacles.”

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Anurag Basu is trying to develop a screenplay for Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. While the basic idea has been conceptualized by AKP aka. Aamir Khan Production, its Basu, who has come on board to weave a screenplay with the inhouse team of actors. The movie is in a very nascent stage at the moment, in fact, the duo of AK and RK will decide on doing it only once they are absolutely satisfied with the final output.”
